Hello!
I’m Sophie Sugrue, Plant-Based Chef. I create bold, flavour-led food inspired by the seasons, reimagining classic meaty flavours using plants as the star of the plate.
I’m all about big flavours, creativity and giving plant-forward food real personality - proving that plant-based dishes can be exciting, accessible and full of life.
Becoming the first ever plant-based finalist on MasterChef 2025 (and runner-up) was a real pinch-me moment and the turning point that launched my career as a plant-based chef and recipe developer. Since then, things have been full steam ahead - from recipe development and food content to pop-ups, festival appearances, supper clubs and collaborations with brilliant brands.
I love working with seasonal produce and building bold, layered flavour through playful technique and a flavour-first approach. I’m all about showing that plant-forward food can be exciting, standout and seriously memorable - with the goal of getting more people genuinely excited about eating plants, whether it’s online, at an event, or around a table full of people digging in.
